About Us

Stoneydale Press is a publisher of books associated with the outdoors and the Northern Rockies Region. Historically, we focused on outdoor recreation with an emphasis on big game hunting, particularly in regard to elk, mule deer, whitetail deer and other species found in the Northern Rockies. At the same time, we published a number of historical reminisces and others centered on such incredible places as the legendary Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana, and now have a couple of new titles coming out reminiscing about early-day outfitting in the great Idaho wilderness country. In recent years, we've also issued a number of books providing new insights into some aspects of our rich history in the northern Rocky Mountains, specifically in regard to the Lewis & Clark Expedition's adventures in our part of the world and by filling in over-looked aspects of the region's history, such as with our award-winning “Montana's Bitterroot Valley” and “Mineral County, Montana, In Retrospect” and such titles as “Lewis & Clark In The Bitterroot” and “Lewis & Clark On The Upper Missouri.”
